UV Curing Coating

UV curing coating technology is utilized by manufacturers of many different products such as water-based polyurethane coatings. UV-curing coatings utilize a unique process in the production of water-based polyurethane coatings that provides an exceptional finish to their products. This new process allows coatings to be cured with the most intense and long lasting UV radiation possible. The UV curing coating process is also known as photo chemical coating, because it uses a process that makes use of special photo reactive polymers that are specifically designed to cure polyurethane products.

In order to expand the application of UV curing coating technology to other applications, ultraviolet light (UV), is used in the manufacturing of water based polyurethane coatings. UV cured polyurethane coatings utilize high intensity UV light sources as active sources, which in turn form self-bonded surface coatings via self-polymerization. The UV curing coating process is extremely effective at providing superior coatings for all types of polyurethane products including, epoxy, polyurethane resins, acrylics, and polyurethane foams.

When it comes to water-based polyurethane coatings, this process is often referred to as ‘photo electrochemical’ curing. The UV curing coating process provides a high level of penetration in order to provide superior adhesion properties on polyurethane surfaces. When compared to other curing processes, the UV curing coating process is highly effective at providing superior adhesion properties on polyurethane surfaces.

The UV curing coating process was originally developed to manufacture self-emulsifying oils and water based polyurethane coatings. The UV curing coating process was utilized in industries such as plastics, as well as food and pharmaceutical.

In recent years, the ultraviolet curing coating process has been utilized in the manufacture and commercialization of other water based polyurethane products such as polyurethane resins and polyurethane foams. These products are used for numerous applications, including applications in paints, sealants, epoxies, rubber and plastics. The UV curing coating process has also been utilized to manufacture non-aqueous resins, such as talcum powder.

In the manufacturing of water based coatings, the ultraviolet curing coating process is utilized in a two-step process to produce an excellent coating on the surface. First, the ultraviolet emitting ultraviolet light passes over a thin film that is applied to a polyurethane surface in order to achieve a clear, even and consistent coating. Next, the UV curing coating is cured under UV light to provide superior bond between the thin film and the polyurethane, resulting in a self-curing, high quality coating that will provide superior protection against chemical reactions.
