The first thing you have to do is to putty the edges of the granite. You can either use regular putty or small pieces of decorative plasters, or scotch tape. You will have to make sure that the surface is smooth and clean before starting to paint. Next, putty the first layer of paint on the surface. If there are any joints or cracks in the granite, cover them with the sealer before you even apply the granite paint and allow it to cure for at least 24 hours.
