Construction process of ceramic tile adhesive

Multi-Purpose Adhesive Remover

Surface treatment

1. All surfaces should be flat, solid, clean, without hollowing, oil stains, wax stains, release agents, and other loose materials;

2. The painted surface should be roughly chiseled to expose at least 80% of the original surface;

After the concrete is completed, it should be cured for 28 days before laying bricks. The newly plastered surface should be cured for 7-14 days before laying bricks; 4. Old concrete and plastered surfaces can be cleaned with industrial detergents or degreasers, then rinsed clean with high-pressure faucets. After drying for 24 hours, the surface can be tiled; 5. For surfaces with loose substrate and strong water absorption or surface dust that is difficult to thoroughly clean, interface agents can be used for treatment first;

6. For substrates with high water absorption or in high temperature and dry environments, it is best to fully wet the substrate to a state without visible water before construction.

Construction technology

1. Bullet line positioning: Determine the ground elevation and plane position line; Or mark the horizontal control line on the wall and make the bottom support straight; 2. First, pour water into the container, then add the powder in proportion. Use an electric mixer to stir thoroughly until a paste is free of lumps and evenly distributed. Let it stand for about 5 minutes, then slightly mix

Mix and use immediately;

3. The mixing ratio is water: powder=(4.8-5.2) kg: 20kg;

4. Use a toothed scraper to evenly distribute the mixed ceramic tile adhesive on the base surface, forming a toothed shape. The thickness of the adhesive can be adjusted by controlling the inclination angle of the toothed scraper, usually at a 45 degree angle. Apply about 1m each time? Left and right, then rub and press the tiles on top. The maximum thickness of a single pass should not exceed 1 mm

5. If there are deep grooves or indentations on the back of the tiles, in addition to applying tile adhesive on the base surface, tile adhesive should also be applied on the back of the tiles;

6. Use bottom to top (wall order) and inside to outside (floor order) to press the tiles (or stone slabs) onto the work surface;

7. Use cross shaped adhesive particles to ensure that the seams are vertical, flat, and of uniform size;

8. During the construction process, use a level or ruler to check the flatness and make timely adjustments.

Matters needing attention

1. The construction temperature is 5-35 ° C;

2. The water powder ratio can be adjusted appropriately due to differences in substrate, weather, construction conditions, etc. It is prohibited to add other materials to change the adhesive powder ratio and performance; 3. When carrying out construction on rainy days, it is necessary to take protective measures and ensure that the construction area is not wet by rainwater within 24 hours after tiling;

4. The adhesive should be used up within 2 hours;

5. Do not mix dried adhesive with water before use;

6. After laying the bricks, the next step of filling the joints can only be carried out after the mortar has completely dried and solidified (about 24 hours);

7. The scraping and coating of ceramic tile adhesive should be evenly and fully applied, and the thickness of the bonding layer should be about half the height of the tooth pitch of the toothed scraper used.

Reference dosage

The theoretical dosage is approximately 3.5-7.0kg/m ‘, depending on the base surface and tile size
